AK Consulting Engineering team has worked with a broad client base to deliver projects on time, on budget and beyond client expectations. We are a multi-discipline firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, structural, fire alarm, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Our clients range from architects and developers to building owners and managers for projects including office buildings, residential buildings, schools, nursing homes, and health care facilities.
Special inspectors are third party licensed professional engineers and architects who oversee the construction and sign off of your project. Special inspection agencies are required to be hired by the owner, and are required for every single permitted project in New York City. We provide all levels of special inspection services from superstructure to fit out including structural steel, welding, concrete, masonry, and spray fireproofing, mechanical, energy, sprinkler, and firestopping.
We are proactive in our approach starting from the initial request for proposal. We review the plans and specifications and coordinate the items required for each project avoiding fees and schedule impacts associated with adding/removing items that may or may not be required for your project. We initiate and maintain project team communication throughout all project stages to review project requirements and expectations to ensure smooth construction, start-up, inspection, and sign off process. Special Inspection Agencies are required to be hired by the owner, and are required for every single permitted project in New York City.
